The Airframe Handbook is the basis for the part 147 written test. Written in 1972 and updated in 1976, the "15A" is lacking only in modern systems and electronics. For modern systems, use our A&P Technician Airframe Textbook (Item Number JS312603/EA-ITP-A2) on page 54. A&P Mechanics Powerplant Handbook

Published in 1970, updated in 1976, the Powerplant Handbook is used as a supplemental text for the section. Good on big radial engines, the "12A" is a bit short on turbine engines.
